“Pi R-squared?” Nope, pie are round, Gears are square.Composed entirely of non-circular gears, this is one of my most unusual clocks - and probably the ugliest!

In this top view, you can see the split gear that mates with the spiral gear, the six-sided off-center gear on the crooked shaft, and a couple of the square gears on a square shaft. Time Warp

A friend showed me a picture of square gears, and I went crazy learning what I could about them. Even though it’s a little hard to read, it does keep perfect time, because it’s powered by an electric motor.

I’ve said it before, “I love synchronous electric motors!”This clock began its life as the timer motor in a 1979 Kenmore Dryer.
